A MAN has been charged with a string of offences as part of an investigation into a series of shop thefts and assaults in Thurrock.
The investigation relates to incidents between 19 October last year and 22 January this year in a number of locations including Chafford Hundred and the Lakeside Shopping Centre.

Karolis Stepanabicius, 37, of Maunder Close, Chafford Hundred was arrested yesterday (22 January) and has now been charged with:
- Four counts of assault;
- Three counts of theft from a shop;
- Two counts of assaulting an emergency worker;
- Two counts of criminal damage;
- Two counts of attempted theft from a shop;
- One count of a public order offence;
- One count of obstruction.
He is due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Friday 24 January).
