Jess Glynne to join Justin Timberlake for Chelmsford City Live

POP superstar Jess Glynne will join Justin Timberlake when he brings his world tour to Essex this summer.

The 10-time GRAMMY Award winner is headlining brand-new festival Chelmsford City Live on Friday July 4 and it is announced today he will be joined on the night by London-born singer-songwriter Jess.

2025 marks the inaugural Chelmsford City Live taking place over three days at Chelmsford City Racecourse. Justin Timberlake and Jess Glynne will kick off the festival and will be followed on Saturday July 5 with a headlining set from multi-award-winning Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Duran Duran, while Olly Murs has his biggest homecoming show there on Sunday July 6.

London-born singer-songwriter Jess Glynne made history by becoming the first and only British female solo artist to score seven number ones on the UK Singles Chart – among them I’ll Be There, Hold My Hand and Don’t Be So Hard on Yourself.

Jess rose to prominence in 2013 as a featured artist on the multi-platinum singles Rather B’ by Clean Bandit and My Love by Route 94, both of which soared to number one in the UK charts.

Since then, Jess Glynne has earned a GRAMMY Award, three Ivor Novello Awards, and nine BRIT Award nominations. With her first two chart-topping albums I Cry When I Laugh and Always In Between becoming Platinum best-sellers, Jess was named on Forbes’ notorious ’30 under 30’ in 2019 following her sell-out world tour.

Last year Jess hit the UK’s Top Ten with her third studio album – the 15-track self-titled JESS – featuring soulful ballads and the quintessential pop anthems that have earned her the title of one of music’s most successful artists.

His monumental world tour kicked off in April this year marking Justin’s return to the global stage after five years.

Justin Timberlake’s Chelmsford date will mark the biggest ever single headline live show in Essex with an audience of up to 25,000 people and is presented in partnership with Chelmsford City Racecourse and Live Nation promoters Cuffe and Taylor.
