POLICE are investigating a robbery which was reported to them in South Ockendon.

The incident took place outside Dilkes Park, close to Foyle Drive, at about 9pm on Thursday 22 May when a teenage boy, aged about 15 or 16, approached a younger teenager and threatened him with a weapon.

During the altercation, the suspect took the victim’s phone and then fled the area.

Thankfully, the victim wasn’t hurt but was understandably shaken by the incident.

We’re appealing for anyone who believes they may have witnessed the incident or saw anyone running away from the area, potentially via Orchard Road or Jack Evans Court.
