THURROCK MP Jen Craft has responded to the news that the Serious Fraud Office have launched an investigation in Thurrock Council’s bankruptcy.
Jen Craft MP, Member of Parliament for Thurrock, said:
“Having repeatedly called for a full investigation into Thurrock Council’s bankruptcy, I strongly welcome today’s announcement by the Serious Fraud Office.
“We have repeatedly paid the price for the reckless financial decisions under the previous council administration, while those responsible have escaped justice.
“This investigation is crucial for delivering the answers that people in Thurrock deserve. By holding the individuals involved to account and providing clarity about any suspected criminality, we can learn and move on from the catastrophic failures of the past.”
