Dear Editor,
We want to empower parents to support their children and change the culture in sports clubs and groups to encourage and inspire positive behaviour from parents.
By behaving positively, parents not only enhance their child’s enjoyment and development in sports but also contribute to a safer and more supportive sporting environment.

Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport is a year-round campaign from the NSPCC’s Child Protection in Sport Unit which aims to raise awareness of the risks of negative parental behaviour from the sidelines.
Anyone who runs or volunteers with a children’s sports club who wants to find out more about Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport and the week of action planned in October, can go to thecpsu.org.uk to find upcoming events and further information.
Parents can also take part in our free e-learning course at any time, which is available at thecpsu.org.uk/parents
Together, we can help keep children safer in sport.
Yours,
Christian McMullen
NSPCC Professional Learning Services Director
