LACE up your trainers and join St. Luke’s Hospice for the return of its much-loved sponsored walk, the St. Luke’s Loop, taking place on
Sunday 5th October.

There are two scenic routes to choose from; a 7.3-mile route or new 3-mile route, Little Luke’s Loop. Starting from the charity’s Basildon hospice in Nethermayne, the routes loop to take in the scenic views of Langdon Hills Country Park, rambling through the flower-rich grasslands and ancient woodlands, before finishing back at the Basildon Hospice.

For those walking in memory of a loved one, a personalised bib decorating station will be available at the start. All walkers will receive an exclusive wooden medal at the
finishing line. A selection of stalls and entertainment will also be available at Basildon hospice for walkers, spectators and public to enjoy before, during and after the walks.

Kerry Chambers, Community and Events Fundraising Manager, said: “Everyone is welcome at the St. Luke’s Loop – whether you are walking by yourself, with family, friends,
colleagues or bringing your furry friends. It’s a great way to come together, celebrate loved ones and walk to help raise money for St. Luke’s Hospice.”

All funds raised from St. Luke’s Loop will help St. Luke’s Hospice to ensure the ongoing provision of specialist, compassionate palliative and end of life care, where and
when it is most needed.
