THE Fallen and those who served in the Far East campaigns in the Second World War were remembered at a service in Thurrock reports Thurrock Nub News.
The annual Victory in Japan (VJ) Memorial Service of Remembrance took place at the Burma Star Association Memorial Rose Garden, Wingfield Drive, Orsett, to mark the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Japan Day, marking the surrender of Japanese forces on 15 August 1945, which ended the conflict.
