Man in court over large fight in Grays High Street

 A MAN has appeared in court following an incident in Grays.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called shortly after 10.30am on Friday 13 March to High Street, Grays, following reports of a fight involving a group of people. It was reported that several items were used as weapons during the incident, including a glass bottle and a guitar.

Thurrock officers responded quickly and located an injured man who had sustained a head injury. He was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been released.

Aaron Keenan, 29, of no fixed abode in Norfolk was arrested on Friday 13 March in connection with the investigation and charged with criminal damage at a business premises in High Street, Grays.

He was remanded into police custody to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 14 March where he pleaded guilty to urinating inside the premises, causing a health hazard. He was fined £250.

Two men, 33 and 36, who were arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent have both been bailed to return on 20 May.

A 32-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent has been released without charge.
