ASDA is reminding customers that its popular Kids Eat for £1 café meal deal is available to families over the Easter school holidays, helping parents manage budgets during the break.
The initiative which is available all year round is in more than 205 Asda Café’s across the UK, offering children under 16 a hot or cold meal for just £1. Options include pesto Penna Pasta, Chicken Nuggets, Fish Fingers and Margherita pizza. Children also receive a free drink when purchasing the hot kids £1 meal deal.

First launched in June 2022, the £1 kids’ café meal deal was introduced to ensure families could access an affordable hot meal during the school holidays. Since its launch, Asda has served more than seven million meals to children in its cafés nationwide. Due to its popularity and the vital support it provides to families, the scheme was rolled out to be available all year round in 2023.
The offer stands out in the market as it does not require a minimum spend, nor does it require customers to purchase an adult meal in order to access the deal.
For Children who prefer a cold option, Asda Cafés also offer a kids’ £1 cold pick‑and‑mix meal, which includes a sandwich, a drink and a piece of fruit and a snack. The menu has recently been refreshed to include new items such as a jelly pot as an alternative to crisps.
Jordan Cummings, Asda’s Cafe Buying Manager said: “School holidays can put extra pressure on family budgets, so we’re reminding customers that our Kids Eat for £1 meal deal is on throughout the Easter break. Since launching the initiative in 2022, we’ve served more than seven million meals to children in our cafés, helping families enjoy an affordable option when they’re out and about. With no minimum spend required, it’s just one of the ways we’re supporting families and communities this Easter.”
