BASILDON Council will be hosting a series of pop-up events in the coming weeks in response to complaints about the anti-social use of motorbikes, scramblers, and E-bikes.
The events are taking place to provide reassurance and a high visibility presence to deter anti-social behaviour and gather further intelligence to help inform activity and enforcement across the borough’s open spaces and parks. The next event will be taking place from 12pm until 2pm on Monday 18 May 2026 at The Wick Country Park, and the community safety team will be available by the main car park near Playdays Nursery.

The team will be engaging with park users, offering advice, and providing free crime prevention materials such as alarms and torches to increase personal safety awareness.
A council spokesperson said: “We want residents to enjoy the many parks and open spaces in the borough safely and this pop-up event is an opportunity for us to address concerns that have been raised to us. We would always encourage residents to report ASB to the council and the police to help build intelligence and plan future activity.
