ACCORDING to Purfleet ward councillor Andy Smith, every monday, a council officer opens up a large green container on the lawn of St Stephen’s church in Purfleet and takes out several brand new bicycles. He then lays them on the lawn and waits for an hour. He then puts them back into the container and goes away.
This has mystified Andy somewhat and angered him at the same time. With the threatened closure of the nursery in the village hall next to the bike container, Andy has questioned the cost of the bikes and their effectiveness, as nobody appears to have ever used the bikes.
YourThurrock “rayleighed” their troops (what’s the date today?-Ed) and interviewed Andy down by the church.

“YourThurrock “rayleighed” their troops” oh dear………………
maybe we could melt the bikes down and make some more seats to replace the bronze ones that have probably already been melted down, then the eyesore container could also maybe be melted down to make another sun arch.
Just an idea
or maybe turn the container into an affordable home for someone
