THE LABOUR candidate for the Ockendon By-Election in March has apologised for number of offensive Facebook posts he shared.

It appears that Les Strange “shared” Facebook posts that in short had race and gender as its core themes.

They ranged from alleged scenes of “migrants” attempting to get on lorries at border points, men “blacked up” as Rastafarians to sexist comments about singer Susan Boyle.

Mr Strange said: “I unreservedly apologise for inappropriate social media posts I have shared in the past.

These were made several years ago and in no way reflect my views.

I will never share such material again, and apologise to anyone offended by my previous posts.”

  1. He only changed his views when the media viewed his Facebook history and confronted him. He posted such stuff for over 5 years. If he no longer held these views he would have deleted his Facebook history. If he loses this byelection I predict Labour will drop him like a hot potato as his political career is over.

If he is genuinely concerned about mass immigration, Islamic terrorism and political correctness then he should have the courage of his convictions, hold his head high and stand by what he believes in – although the Labour Party isn’t exactly the party he should be in with such views.
