IT IS only when you join the Veoila Markdyke Trust on it’s annual tour of the borough that you really get to appreciate all the great work that they contribute to.
The tour started at Aveley Football Club. We joined them at the Rec near to Aveley High Street where pupils from Aveley Primary were enjoying the facilities. They then travelled down to the wonderful bridge at the RSPB centre in Rainham which has opened up the area to thousands of new visitors.
New Thurrock MP. Jackie Doyle-Price joined the tour along with many dignitiaries including Chair of the Trust, Charles Curtis.
