SIX Thurrock athletes have won through to represent Essex at the English Schools Athletics Champs in Birmingham on 10th July.
The athletes are: Nancy Le Beau: Long Jump; Kai Riley Laborde: Shot Putt; Robbie Clarricoats: 80 metre hurdles (Reserve); Ben Glasgow:100m; Akeem Akintokan: 200m and Linzi Boosey: Hammer.
They and many others put in a fine performances last weekend at the Essex Champs held at the Melbourne Stadium in Chelmsford especially Akeem who ran the 200 in 21.37, a championship best performance.
