Open Doors Theatrical Academy are proud to present their debut production of Into The Woods (Jnr) by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine.

This summer Thurrock’s leading performing arts academy for youngsters is pleased to present its debut performance at the Thameside Theatre, Grays. celebrating Stephen Sondheim’s 80th Birthday, they bring his classic “Into the Woods” to the Grays stage on 7th and 8th July at 19:30.
The Brothers Grimm “go Broadway” as Sondheim and Lapine offer up a cockeyed fairy tale where all your favourite characters-Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and The Witch-meet and interact on their journeys.
With these unforgettable roles, the magical “Into The Woods” showcases an ensemble of talented singers, actors and dancers. The sophisticated score has been adapted to make it accessible-though still challenging-for these exciting young performers.
With notes of comedy, adventure and enchantment the production is set to captivate the audience whilst asking them to consider the stories with which they’ve grown up and the ethical issues raised therein. Take your first steps “Into the woods” and embark on a journey where everyone is seeking their happily ever after.
