THE BOROUGH really does pack in the fetes during July. That says a lot about the community feel in the borough. A lot of the time Thurrock beats itself up about ‘community cohesion” without comparing itself to other boroughs. Not by the governments standards but by the cultural events that traditionally signify whether a town has a community feel.
Party in the Park in South Ockendon is organised by the Community Forum and shows why that forum has gone from strength to strength.
