Two arrested following aggravated burglary in Corringham

OFFICERS investigating an aggravated burglary in Corringham earlier this week have made two arrests.

It was reported that an armed man had entered a home in Laburnham Drive shortly after 10am on 6 April and threatened the family inside. One man sustained a head injury and he’s being treated in hospital. 

Thankfully, one of the occupants was able to leave the home and alert police to the incident. The intruder then left the home. 

A 31 year-old man from London was arrested by officers today (Saturday 15 April) on suspicion of aggravated burglary.

A 58 year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm without a certificate.

They are both in custody and our enquiries are ongoing.
