Man arrested following assault in Grays

A MAN has been arrested and police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Grays earlier this month.

It was reported a man in his 50s had been assaulted near to Thurrock Council’s offices in New Road at around 12.30pm on 3 August.

The victim sustained a broken nose, facial injuries and had a tooth knocked out.

A 27 year-old man from Basildon was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, and ABH.

He has been released on bail until 21 October.
