PARENTS and caregivers in Thurrock can access feeding support for their baby seven-days-a-week.
Expert infant feeding advice is now available from Monday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm.
Support is available for all aspects of feeding your baby, whether assistance is needed with breastfeeding, formula feeding, or introducing solid foods.
Parents and caregivers can get in touch with an infant feeding specialist by messaging the Thurrock Infant Feeding Team on Facebook or by calling: 0300 300 1999.
The Thurrock Infant Feeding Team also offer a number of other services, including:
Infant Feeding Clinics: Available Monday to Friday, offering face-to-face consultations on all matters related to infant feeding.
Monthly Introduction to Solid Food Workshops: Available virtually on Microsoft Teams and in-person at Family Hubs.
Child Health Clinics Drop-Ins: Offering additional opportunities to receive infant feeding advice.
Cllr Vikki Hartstean, Cabinet member for Children’s Services, said: “The expanded service ensures that parents in Thurrock can receive help and advice on infant feeding when they need it most, including weekends.
“This reflects our ongoing commitment to the well-being of families in Thurrock. We are here to help you every step of the way.”
The Thurrock Infant Feeding Team is part of the Thurrock Healthy Families Service and Thurrock Family Hubs and the Start for Life programme.
