THREE swimmers from Thurrock Swimming Club competed in this years Inter County competition held in Sheffield. This competition has all counties compete against each other over specific events.
Joshua Shepherd, James McGettigan and Zak Walker, who all train at Blackshots Leisure Centre with their Partners Impulse Leisure were fundamental in helping Essex finish 5th overall in Division 1.
Joshua Shepherd competed in the 16/17year age group. Only 16, Josh achieved a 2 second PB in the 100 free and 1 second in the 100 fly.
Zak Walker swam to a fantastic 3 second PB in the 12/13 year age group 100 fly event.
James McGettigan competed in the 14/15 year 100 breast. James also achieved a best time with a 2 second PB.
