AVELEY’S determined battle to stave off relegation continued with a battling draw against Welling on Friday night at Pakrside.
David Kawa opened the scoring in the 55th minute. They held on until the final minutes when Anthony Grant (88) equalised.
The result leaves Aveley in 21st minute, just three points from safety.
They return to league action on Monday at home to Maidstone United.
