THE Essex County FA have confirmed plans to deliver FA Walking Football Referee Courses at Goals Dagenham on Monday 16th June and Colchester Sports Park on Saturday 21st June.
The course is designed for anyone aged 18 and over who wants to join one of the fastest-growing games in the country. Walking Football has been developing in recent years, with playing pathways from recreational formats through to the competitive pinnacle of the FA Walking Football Cup.
Referees play an integral role in ensuring all participants enjoy their matchday experience, helping to create a competitive, fair, safe and enjoyable playing environment. For anybody who wants to referee in men’s or women’s Walking Football, or mixed competitions, the FA Walking Football Referees Course is the starting point for their career. Refereeing is not only rewarding, but the social and life skills which follow from becoming a referee extend far beyond initial expectations.
