THE Essex County FA Women’s Representative Team will, once again, participate in the Southern Counties Competition during the 2025/26 season, and their fixtures have now been confirmed.
This year’s competition sees a slight change in format following the departure of Jersey, leavings four County FAs – Army, Essex, Kent and Middlesex – battling it out. Each side will play one another once, with the final round of fixtures determining overall placings as first meets second and third plays fourth. Essex’s fixtures are as follows:
- Thursday 23rd October (kick-off 7:45pm): Army FA (away) – Aldershot Military Stadium
- Wednesday 19th November (7:45pm): Kent FA (away) – Venue TBC
- Wednesday 21st January (7:45pm): Middlesex FA (home) – Aveley FC
- Finals Day (Date to be Confirmed): First vs Second, Third vs Fourth
In April, Essex sealed their place as 2024/25 Southern Counties Competition runners-up with a comfortable 6-0 victory at Kent. The competition provides a fantastic opportunity for Essex’s top female players to showcase their ability at representative level, in-line with the Essex County FA #MovingForward Strategy 2028, while building on the positive progress of previous campaigns.
