MP slams government over tolls and junction 30

THURROCK voters got used to seeing Andrew Mackinlay being a thorn in the side of the government. It has taken them by surprise that it has taken only six months for Jackie Doyle Price to step into the role.

That may illustrate, what a Thurrock MP needs to do if they are to stand up for their constituents.

There has been a double whammy this week: the news regarding the 66% rise in the tolls was bad enough, now we hear that the improvement work on junction 30 for Lakeside will not happen for at least another four years.

Many had understood that not only was it necessary to ease the burden of traffic but that it had been mentioned several times as a key part of helping the increased traffic that will come as part of the deep water port at DP World in Stanford-le-Hope.

It was an early morning start for Jackie as she helped out in the community day at Seabrooke Rise but we spoke to her regarding these controversial issues.

  1. I am glad MP J Doyle Price has spoken up about what a Thurrock MP needs to do if they are to stand up for their constituents.
And accomplish the truthful thing for electoral voters. “Speak up when various article about the conservatives association and former mayors and certain members in your group are constantly on your thurrock website and in all the local papers you have not heard a word from MP J Doyle Price who should have assured the residents she would investigate the matter even the article about MP J Doyle Price having her groups office on the illegal site
So please Jackie for accuracy did you talk to certain members of your group?, Has you have failed to comment and I am certain the residents of thurrock want to know about your analysis of this situation before we go to the ballot boxes in May In my opinion Jackie it’s the” kettle calling the pot black”

  2. Well said albert

Looks like JDP is finding out the reality of being an MP is not all a bed of roses and claiming expenses.

I seem to recall she got in by promising to get rid of the dartford tolls only for her westminster pals to move the goal post once they got in.

Her Tory friends in Orsett are going to have the right hump when they have a link road run through their village.

Albert you talk about offices perhaps JDP would like to say why her constituency office not even in Thurrock? If she wanted an office in Basildon why did you not stand for electiong there instead.

Why does she not hold drop in surgerys once a month, tell she is a tory cos most of her counterparts in Thurrock dont have monthly surgeries either.

This week she finds out the extension to ease congestion at junction 30 is not going to happen.

That kettle is looking very black to me……………

  3. Sting let me make you aware of the fact that MP J D Price can’t leave herself in the position of saying her Offices are at the Titan works which has been in all the press lately for unauthorised lorry parks on both sites Owned by ICG limited That’s why MP J D Price has put her offices at the Basildon?. I believe. Because how can you not make an observation of the whole enclosure full of Lorries’ with all different company logos on the HGVs as you walk into your office
But the leaflet that was dropped through my door on the conservatives associations leaflet last week clearly stated Titan works Hogg Lane Grays!!!!!
