Goals by Kieran Jones (43 pen) and Tyler Forbes (51 and 59) secured all three points for the Dockers.
Newmarket’s scorer was Josh Coulson (92).
The result leaves Tilbury in 13th place, eight points off the play off places.
They return to league action next Saturday at home to Bowers and Pitsea.
