Thurrock Council and the Unite union have avoided the need for strike action by the council’s refuse collection service.
A joint statement read: “After positive and constructive discussions, we are pleased to announce we have reached agreement on the areas of concern.
“As a result, there will be no strike action which is of benefit to everyone concerned, in particular residents who can look forward to service as normal.
“We look forward to working together on improvements to service delivery going forward.”

Thsi story is about a load of rubbish 🙂 (sorry couldn’t resist)
