LABOUR PARTY activists stood firm against National Front fascists in Tilbury at the weekend.
Around twenty thugs had gathered at the steps of Tilbury railway station as they anticipated that HopenotHate activists would be coming to the area to leaflet.
When they did not appear, they marched to outside the Labour party headquarters at Commonwealth House in Tilbury.
There they confronted cllrs Steve Liddiard and Lynn Worrall.
Cllr Liddiard said” “There were the usual group of them. They confronted me near to the offices. We walked away and got on with canvassing.”
Essex Police officers were in attendance.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers were aware that HopenotHate campaigners were planning to attend in Tilbury.
There was no specific police operation. Officers on routine patrol were in attendance and there were no incidents.
So the anti capitalist, anti free speech, anarchist dopenothate thugs didn’t turn up for a fight then. Perhaps they were busy smashing bank windows somewhere else. Just can’t trust the rent a mob marxists these days.

I was quite taken aback when I saw that the NF had candidates, I was under the impression that this group no longer existed and the BNP was the main political party for the far right…………looks like they will be playing the race card in every local election they may even get a seat, just look at Georhe Galloway’s Respect Party…..he played the race issues and won.
The chance of the NF winning a council seat in Thurrock is 0%.

Mick after watching the antics of you and your gang of thugs on Sunday i was very worried about what was going on with people in Tilbury. But after looking at your rent a mob crowd i could only pick out 2 or maybe 3 people from Tilbury including you. Perhaps people would be interested to know that you had invited people from the Kent branches of the English Defence League over to Tilbury for a fight with the Hope Not Hate leaflet distributors. You had to get all these people from out of the area because the majority of decent people in Tilbury are not interested in the racist filth you and the Maginns are trying to spread. Reading articles here you would think Hope not Hate were Viking raiders, (What next “They are after our Women….”) In the Real World Hope not Hate is a cross body from society who just loathe and hate right wing extremists and wish to promote Community Harmony. Most Political Parties evolve – the BNP appeared to have dissolved back into the NF. Still a lot of work to be done in Tilbury for all parties except BNP / NF – you have and never will be welcome.
