THREE teenagers have been arrested following a series of incidents in which stones and pieces of wood were thrown at vehicles on the A13 near Aveley.
Police were called at 7.37pm on Monday July 2 following reports of a group of youths standing near the Love Lane footbridge and throwing objects at passing vehicles on the eastbound carriageway.
The Essex Police helicopter joined ground units in a search of the area and three suspects were detained at about 8.45pm.
An 18-year-old from Aveley, a 16-year-old boy from Grays and a 15-year-old boy also from Aveley were arrested on suspicion of causing danger to road users.They were still in custody this morning (Tuesday).
