A SENIOR Thurrock councillor questioned the accuracy of the chief executive of Thurrock Council, Graham Farrant’s claim that 90% of council residents were satisfied with housing improvement company Morrison.
Belhus councillor, Wendy Curtis told the full council that: “I have to say that 90% of my postbag is in relation to Morrison. I can’t believe the figure that the chief executive gave is an accurate figure.”
Portfolio holder, cllr Val Morris-Cook responded. She said: “We have a long way to go with the Morrison contract and need to do more to measure satisfaction and/or dis-satisfaction rates.
“We have had very productive meetings over the last few weeks. One meeting in South Ockendon saw over 65 residents attend.
“I still cannot quite believe that the Tories, when in power and when negotiating this contract did not put an exit clause in!”

She’s absolutely right, bloody Tories can’t get anything right. You’d never hear the Labour party and it’s supporters saying “don’t blame us for the past” would you.
hahahah, nice one NoVoice, here we see yet another Labour Party member who has developed amnesia it certainly seems to be catching, now think back Mrs Morris-Cook just how long has Labour been in control of the Council, I think you will find that on the back of a BNP vote and Independent that they have been in charge for a couple of years now…..
I am sure Mr Perrin raised this question with Cllr Wendy Curtis some time ago. I am amazed that Cllr Curtis bothered to listen to Mr Perrin’s comments due to her dislike for him, has she actually got the drift of things that Mr Perrin is right when he makes a comment? lets hope so.
