TWO BLACK swans arrived at Tilbury Fort last week.
The waters around the fort have been well-known for mute swans, goosanders, herons, cormorants, oyster catchers, great crested grebes, coots, moorhens and a colony of little egrets to name just a few.
But eagle-eyed staff were delighted to see the two swans settle on the waters.
It is believed that there are only 300 back swans in the whole country.
