LITTLE THURROCK councillor, Rob Gledhill has been elected as the leader of the Thurrock Conservative group.
Homesteads councillor James Halden has been elected as deputy leader of the group.
Cllr Gledhill has become well known in political circles for his forensic and dogged pursuit of value for money for Thurrock residents whilst cllr Halden caps a remarkable comeback when he fought off Ukip to retain his seat at last months local elections.

I would like to send my sincere congratulations to both Councillors. Well Done
Congratulations Rob – could you please use any influence you have to make sure that the Chair of Planning lives in the borough, and is someone that is willing to live with the consequences of their decisions.
