ESSEX Police, who are investigating a robbery which happened in Aveley, are appealing for two witnesses to come forward to help with their investigations.
The robbery happened on Friday, October 31 at around 10.15pm in Nare Road. A 16-year-old boy, who lives in the local area, was chased by two men who assaulted him and stole his mobile phone. He suffered bruising to his face, head and shoulder as a result.
A man and woman walked past the boy whilst he was he was being assaulted and they shouted out which made the suspects run off. The couple asked the boy if he was ok but he ran off to find his friends.
Investigating Officer Pc Ed Gosling said: "I would urge the man and woman to come forward and speak to the police. They may be able to assist with information.”
