KEITH Gilby, Procurement Manager at DP World London Gateway has raised over £900 for Movember. He encouraged people to donate money by setting two targets: once donations reached £400 he would dye his moustache red, white and blue and once they reached £700 he would have it waxed off.
Keith exceeded both targets – enduring the embarrassment of a multi-coloured moustache and the pain of waxing!
Cherie and Jill at Stylistics Hair Design (www.stylisticshairdesign.com) dyed Keith’s moustache red, white and blue after week 3. On December 1st, once Keith had reached £700, Lynn and Tony from Eclipse Tanning (www.eclipse-tanning.co.uk) came into London Gateway Port to wax off Keith’s moustache in front of all his colleagues!
The money raised will go to the Movember Foundation which directs and supports men’s health programmes that combat prostrate and testicular cancer.
These programmes are focused on awareness and education and living with and beyond cancer.
