GET yourself down to Grays over the 26th – 28th September because the Thurrock International Film Festival has got the perfect events to suit you and it’s ALL at the Thameside Theatre.

The festival, back for its third year, has something for everyone, the film buff, the kids and the musical lovers.

The festival opens with Psycho, Alfred Hitchcock’s defining horror film kicks off the weekend on Friday 26th at 8pm. Followed on Saturday morning by Walt Disney’s masterpiece Mary Poppins!

“It’s a special screening for children, don’t worry if they don’t sit still or stay quiet, in fact if your little ones want to sing along we don’t mind.” Says event organiser Natalie.

Time to brush off that pink jacket, comb your hair and sing your heart out at our Grease sing-a-long and dress up on Saturday at 8pm. Fancy dress and singing along strongly encouraged, although not compulsory, there’s even a prize for best costume.

On Sunday 28th there’s free tea and biscuits for those attending the screening of Oklahoma, Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic cowboy musical at 4pm (while stocks last of course) and sprinkled around all of these are a host of short films from around the world to entertain and delight you with our signature short film screenings.

This year’s short film judging panel includes Maleficent’s Lesley Manville, Saving Private Ryan’s Tom Sizemore and Evan Peters, star of American Horror Story and the blockbuster X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

Tickets range from £1 to just £3, for more details visit www.thurrockfilm.com/events or call the Thameside Theatre box office on 0845 300 5264
