Statement from ambulance service: "We received a call at 12:45pm today (2nd October) to reports of an RTC on Elizabeth Road, Grays.
"We dispatched two ambulance crews and an ambulance officer to the scene and treated two patients for neck pains and shock.
"Crews attended the scene within two and a half minutes of receiving the call and after assessing at the scene, transported both patients to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital.
