Ryman Div One North
Aveley 2 v 4 Brightlingsea Regent
THE MILLERMEN blew a chance to continue to progress up the legacy with a defeat by in-form Regent.
Regent raced into a two goal lead by halftime with goals by Terry Rymer (12′) and Phil Kelly (45′)
Petrit Elbi (61′) got the Millers back into it but within two minutes, Regent had restored their two gal cushion (Josh Gould).
Russell Malton (86′) made it four before Aveley scored a consolation goal through David Fallah (89′).
Aveley remain in eight place just four points off the play offs.
They return to action on Saturday in a big local derby against Thurrock at Ship Lane.
