AS many in the community will remember, Liam Coffey of Tilbury sadly died earlier this year.

His funeral was a huge event with over 300 people in attendance.

Last Friday (the 20th) some 100 plus people attended the showing of a film about his work with the Directors of Thurrock Lifestyle Solutions CIC and in his memory the community had collected a cheque for £750 donated to St Lukes Hospice.

This was followed by the regular ‘Liams nightclub’ which he established as his legacy and is a place where people with learning disabilities can go and have a good time – and indeed they did this week!

The film can be seen on their website:- http://choiceandcontrol.co.uk/about.php
