HARRIS Primary Academy in Chafford Hundred have come top of the class in the annual Standard Assessment Tests (SATS).
The primary school performance tables show the number of Year 6 pupils taking SATs tests at each school, the average point score of each school, and the percentage of pupils getting a Level 4 – the average for the age group – and Level 5 – above average – in reading, writing and maths.
Harris students attained 98% at Level 4 and a remarkable 41% at Level 5.
In joint second place at Level 4 was Holy Cross in Tilbury and West Thurrock with 93% .
Special mention goes to Shaw Primary with 90%.
At the foot of the table languishes Lansdowne Primary Academy at Level 4 and just 4% at Level 5.
The Gateway Primary Free School was also in the bottom three for Level 5 with 8%.
