Thurrock 0 v 2 Aveley
AVELEY continued their push for a play-off place with a 2-0 victory against fellow promotion hopefuls Thurrock.
The reality is that both teams now find themselves seven points off the play off places. They are lucky that so many top teams, even Harlow and Needham find consistency difficult. However, there are thirteen games left and so that gap cannot get any wider.
Aveley took the lead very early on when a corner landed in the middle of Thurrock’s area and bounced around before Jack Stevenson managed to poke it home.
Aveley extended their lead within five minutes of the restart when Petrit Elbi squeezed his shot inside the corner of Madden’s goal.
