THURROCK MP, Jackie Doyle Price has complained of receiving death threats after comments she made regarding car cruisers at Lakeside.
The Thurrock MP joined Essex Police on Operation Wagtail on Saturday January 31st in order to see, first hand, the problems, Essex Police has.
Ms Doyle-Price wrote of her experiences on her Facebook page. The article elicited over 800 responses. Some questioned why police resources were being sent down there when burglary was "endemic in Thurrock".
Whilst others questioned the suggestion that speed bumps should be laid down on roads near Lakeside.
However, it appears things turned darker as Ms Doyle-Price complained of "death threats" were made against her.
Speaking on BBC Essex, she said she was "Disappointed but not surprised" at the comments.
It has been reported that a Facebook user has apologised.
