    Tilbury 3 v 4 Thurrock

    THURROCK won a vital local derby to put themselves with a great chance of making the play offs next month.

    Thurrock got off to a great start with a goal by Robert Clark in the first minute. Bu this was a game that they found very hard to fend off the durable Dockers.

    Neil Richmond equalised in the 16th minute.

    The game was end to end after that but Thurrock gained the upper hand when Ross Wall scored in the 32nd minute, When Wall struck again just before half time, it looked as if there was enough daylight between the two teams.

    However, Tilbury came out fighting in the second half and it was that man Richmond who scored a second in the 47th minute.

    Thurrock kept their nerve and scored a fourth through former Tilbury captain, Aaron Waters in the 77th minute.

    Tony Martin pulled another back for Tilbury with a penalty in the 86th minute but Thurrock held on to claim three very vital points.

    Thurrock a re now just two points behind fifth placed Wrexham with just six games left.
