POLLY Billington, who fought (and lost) the constituency of Thurrock for Labour has not taken long to find her next challenge.
Polly has been recruited as communications director for Tooting MP Sadiq Khan as he bids to become the next London Mayor.
The former shadow justice secretary and Tooting MP won the backing of past rivals Ken Livingstone and Oona King earlier this week and the support of City businessman Rajesh Agrawal, the chief executive of RationalFX, who is advising him on economic policy.
Khan has also assembled a strong team to lead his bid, including Heidi Alexander, Marcus Roberts and Manoj Ladwa.
