CRIMESTOPPERS offers reward of up to £3,000 for information on serious assault in Purfleet

The independent Charity Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £3,000 for information following the serious assault of a man who was guarding a van of high value clothing worth £200,000.

The incident occurred on Wednesday 28 January when a gang of four masked men ambushed Adam Nichols on Ensign Industrial Estate, Botany Way, Purfleet, tasering and beating him before stripping him of his clothes and threatening to kill him.

He suffered injuries that included a broken foot, a damaged eye socket, and shattered ribs.

The men left the scene empty handed.

As announced on Crimewatch tonight, Crimestoppers is now offering a reward of up to £3,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the people responsible for this attack.

Antonia Litten, Eastern Regional Manager for Crimestoppers, said: “I cannot even begin to imagine what this man has gone through during this horrifying attack.

“These four men have carried out a cowardly act to fulfill their greed, and they should not be allowed to get away with their actions.

I’d urge anyone who has information to come forward and contact Crimestoppers anonymously, safe in the knowledge that no one will ever know you contacted us.”
