Man arrested following incident in Foxton Road, Grays

    ESSEX Police were called shortly after 1.15pm on Monday, August 31 with concerns for the welfare of a man in Foxton Road, Grays.

    Officers attended with the fire and ambulance services and spoke with him.

    He was later arrested on suspicion of possession of items to endanger life and criminal damage.

    He is currently in custody awaiting questioning.

    A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We had a call to Foxton Road just after 2pm to a report of concerns for the welfare of a man.

    "An ambulance crew, ambulance officer and Hazardous Area Response Team attended.

    "A man was assessed at the scene, but did not require treatment or transport to hospital".

    THERE are reports of an incident in the London Road area.

    YT understands that the incident is close to the Foxton Road area.

    There are a number of police vehicles, ambulances and fire crews at the location say sources.

    YT has sent a request for information to the emergency services but has yet to receive a reply.
