A MAN has been charged with causing death by careless driving following a collision in Tilbury in August.Pedestrian Derek Coleman, 82, from Tilbury, was struck by a double decker bus in Civic Square on August 20.He sadly died in hospital on September 1.Stephen Thompson, 49, of Hostier Close, Rochester, has been charged with causing Mr Coleman’s death by careless driving as well as fraud by false representation between 2010 and 2015 which relates to information he allegedly failed to disclose to his employer.Thompson has been released on bail to appear at Basildon Magistrates Court on November 10.
