EAST Thurrock had an unhappy start to the year with a home defeat against local rivals Concord Rangers.
Goals by Demi Akinwande (40′), Femi Akinwande (54′) and Stephen Cawley (72′) kept Concord’s unbeaten run going.
East Thurrock’s goals were scored by Sam Higgins (16′) and (79′)
The result leaves East Thurrock in ninth place, six points off the play off places.
They return to action on Saturday away at Braintree Town.
