In short: this was the best piece of theatre that this critic has seen the Thurrock Youth Theatre put on. On far too many occasions the group are saddled with material that just doesn;t bring out the best in the young actors. There are some funny people in there and with “2B or not 2B” the comedy leapt out.
When the play started, one feared it was going to be an interminable school play thing but suddenly the choreography and tight scripting impressed as you entered their medieval world, No one actor dominated but they all had a series of cameos in Camelot.
Top marks all round. It will be interesting to see if any of the actors scoop awards on sunday.
