The intensity of “Ashes to Ashes” matched much of Saturday’s performance by Bejou Productions.
One must also applaud the ambition of RODS for taken on Harold Pinter.
From the beginning, Debbie Smerdon brought a smouldering passion to the role that drew the audience immediately. Two-handers aren;t easy and although Mike Robertson was competent he was acted off the stage by Debbie and became nothing more than a prompter.
Vital stuff which certainly provoked the audience.
