ZOE IS BIG SKILL FINALIST
Health and Social Care student Zoe Rogers has been selected as a finalist in the 16-19 learner award category of 2009 The Big Skill Award, presented by The Learning and Skills Council and supported by BBC East.
Zoe was nominated by Palmer’s College for her outstanding contribution at College and in the Community. Zoe joined Palmer’s College with few GCSEs and started the one year Foundation course and successfully went onto complete a BTEC First Diploma and is now in her final year studying for a BTEC National Diploma in Health and Social Care.
Judith Barras, Zoe’s tutor and Head of Careers said: “Zoe has impressed everyone with her approach to study; she is one of the most conscientious and positive students I have encountered.”
As well as Zoe’s determination in being a success, her contribution to improving College life has also been commendable. Zoe plays an active role in the community with her charitable work with St John Ambulance since she was 15.
