There is something “left-field” and yet very simple about the way the Gateway Academy do things. When they have a community day, they do two things: They go out into the community and they invite the community in.
If they are going to perform a Shakespearen play in midsummer then no prizes for guessing which one they perform but then witness how they use the natural landscape of the school grounds to maximum effect.
Needless to say, when we film there, we end up with so much material we have to divide it into four or five pieces. Here is the first part of Midsummer.
